A Weyr is an organization of participants in the Great Game that consists more of support staff and subordinate grouping of a Dragon. Non-dragons can become part of a Weyr, but movement between an Ayla and a Weyr is reserved for dragons only.

The common people consider Weyr to simply be the word for a herd/flock of dragons and nothing more.
