The Culling of Crows

The group decides to go up the stairs

They approach they them stairs there. The them stairs.

The order is Korrin, Will, Evander, Lye, All-moon

The group easily defeats the two statues, but before they can continue they are interrupted by Kaz Breaker and the Palace crows stepping in their way.

The purple tiefling grapples Will with a knife at his neck.

Iro threatens to blow them both up.

Evander, on his fancy horse, declares that they are impeding inquisitorial investigations, but Caz replies they have protection.
Evander claims that lethal force is activated. Lye has no fucking clue what that means but one of the crows has a chunk of shoulder missing from a shot from Evander so Lye can take a hint.

Korrin summons a fairy. I have asked if the fairy is hot but I have yet to receive a reply. This is highly unsatisfactory.

Fairy of unknown hotness activates the second tied statues. Yay.

Gnome crow goes BOOM between Korrin and All-Moon.

Korrin’s fey is eliminated, their hotness still unclear.

Lye kills the purple tiefling

Evander intimidates with his fancy horse but ties with Caz’s imposing demeanor.

Maleki Wolfsblood is threatening with his massive battle axe but All-moon’s maul’s bigger.

Who’s wielding the biggest implement?

All-moon’s raging and is watercoloury again

Bye bye fancy horse.

Lywellin the gnome blows himself… up. One last boom.

The group dispatches everyone except Kaz, Korrin and Will are down

All-Moon makes a herculean leap with Kaz in tow

Kaz is killed, Korrin and Will given a healing potion.

Combat ends.

A crowd formed and guards come. The guards are surprised that Caz Blackhands has been taken down. Guard runs up stair telling the group to wait

Looting of the corpses ensues

Maleki has multiple bangles

The Tiefling has magic boots and cloak

Sorceress has concealed blood necklace

Kaz’s cane top (this is not a euphemism!) has a type of magic Evander is familiar with, that can be turned into a trinket.

The guard returns and informs them that the king will see them now.

There are bloodstains in the throne room (the arena of the king).

The king Haeros Xilisbane is bored and has terrible posture as he sits on his throne (back and legs on armrest) he’s old but clearly doesn’t need physiotherapy just yet, though he might one day if he keeps sitting like that.

King’s happy Caz is dead.

We’re all happy Caz is dead.

King is a very sprightly old elf. Maybe physio will never be needed.

There were bounties on the crows!M oney! 10 platinum each plus extra 2000 cause we killed them all in one go and king likes efficiency

The king asks why they were climbing the stairs?

Evander brings up the skeleton.

King had fun fighting the skeleton, the subjects wouldn’t let king go into mines after disastrous precedents

He says it’s weird: it fucks with time and the king thinks it’s metal and he wants to fight it again.

King likes Evander as one of the fun coalition types. King doesn’t seem to have a fondness for coalition folk

Then Evander ruins it by talking about protocols.

We get permission for 'Little' Grant Turntable to do the Turntable Underway Path Expeditionary Caravan.

New royal order: Someone burn the Crook House if they’re all dead.

The group starts running to the Crook House

The money given is HEAVY. All-Moon is the designated (and only possible) travelling bank

Goons looted the Crook House; a door has been hatched with axe but not opened. It has a magic lock

Evander casts dispel magic on the lock

All-Moon gets hit by a giant ball booby (trap)

The room opens up to a weird wood desk but pitch black. It looks like a collection to one side of random bits and bobs, a bed behind the desk. Books and ledgers

The group investigates; Evander finds a safe hidden under part of the desk.

All-Moon yeets the table

They disarm another booby (trap)

They find a small ring with a smiley face in it. Gold band, gold smile, green face

All-moon throws it at Lye, who jumps back like a frightened little wuss.

A small bag with a handful of platinum and some papers in a cypher

Lye takes the ring, very reluctantly, before they leave since nobody picked it up.

All-Moon tells Francellica Turntable all is good and she falls asleep in his arms. She looks like she’s in her 30’s

All-Moon looks like he’s in his 20’s and 30’s

Identify loot first, then share:
Boots elvenkind go to All-moon

Cloak elvenkind goes to Will

Necklace of bloodwell vial (gives 2 metamagic points even if you wouldn’t normally have any (even if no access to metamagic features) goes to Evander, to give to Korrin at level 8

Maleki bracers of armor (+2 ac if you are not wearing armor) go to Korrin

Braces of fortitude go to Will

Gauntlets of mighty blows (increase unarmed damaged die to1 d8, if you already have an increase then increase instead to d10 ) go to Korrin

Evander takes Kaz’s staff top: if Evander tinkers with it, any persuasion, intimidation, deception (all cha skills) if you fail it can become a 15.

Levelled up to level 7

2000 gold 10 platinum each

Ledgers etc need sorting through by the nerds Korrin and Evander, and it takes 3 days to decipher the papers ion the safe.

The stuff that wasn’t in the safe: the entire organizations, who to blackmail with what. Lots of evidence for Evander.

Within the safe they find a detailed list of the regional organization of Friends of the Dead Men

Casper Breckmin is the real name of Kaz. Now he’s really a ghost.

One item of interest is a correspondence from from headquarters

“The entity known as Lye -travelling with Evander, William, All-moon and a name (not Korrin!!!!)- is to be held in Galdurokfor at least 2 weeks for collection”
