-A slightly intoxicated Evander gives the code after pushed on by Lye, to which he surmises that the group isn't from around here and they point out 'Ser' Ellen.
-The man approaches and confirms if they are fine with a little damage with their earnings. And asks how many, which the four make just enough for the roster
-He leads the group towards a kitchen area, then to another door that he uses a key on.
-There is a staircase down, Lye does look for a weapon on the way, fails to do so but notices something else
-They follow downstairs, and see a ring and enough space for maybe about forty people
-Ser Ellen gives each a number, stating that is their fights, stating the big guy should be a good way to end the night.
-William bets 5 gold, Lye bets 1 gold, Evander bets 10 gold, and Korrin bets 19 gold on Lye to win
-Lye's opponent is a middle aged dwarf who is missing an eye and doesn't bother with an eye patch
-Most of the others place their bets on the dwarf
-Lye is weird and wants to lick the dwarf's eyesocket
-After some insults unsettling the dwarf, Lye is victorious
-The group multiplies their profits by 5
-Korrin is capped at 10 gold per bet but then he haggles stating 20% of his winnings will go to the house to allow him to continue his bet
-Next fight is a tiefling with a broken horn and a half orc. It is a close match, but the tiefling does win
-Next match is two humans, one is around 40 and the other is very stocky 18 year old
-Korrin gets to deal with a special event, a creature that was hunted for out in the crags.
-Four men pull a cage up to the edge of the pit, as the man warns and they then open the cage
-Hopping out is something that first appeared as a wolf, but it has no eyes and its mouth is closed, and it has two tentacles coming out of it's back
-Korrin is taken down by the beast, losing 100 gold in the process. It lunges at Korrin, however Lye intervenes
-Once it was clear there wasn't going to be blood, they put down the wolf
-Evander's opponent is a ripped gnome with a crazy looking eye
-Evander did have a cigar prior to the fight
-The Gnome rides Evander's head to the ground and beats him down, the gnome is still going when Lye shouts at him
-Finally William is fighting an elf who seems like a crowd favorite
-The elf beats the shit out of William and walks away
-Lye tries slapping them all awake
-Lye now has a bunch of unconscious idiots
-Lye is not strong enough to carry all of them
-Lye tries to prod at Korrin to try to summon his familiar
-He tries to buy the services of the crazed gnome, but was very ineffective
-Asking another more sensible, they assist to get the three to the front
-Getting to the storefront and struggling with the three, he sees the Owl familiar, and yells at it to go get All-Moon
-As soon as they make it to the inn, William wakes up much to Lye's annoyance.
-Two hours later Evander and Korrin both wake on the floor in their rooms
-All-Moon does not wake to Lye cursing up a storm when arriving and dragging the people to their beds
-The day is now Aipsday, Thrakkold 3rd, 5014 IE
-There is morning conversations, such as Evander finding out Lye was the one to drag him back so he pays gold to not owe a debt
-Lye tells All-Moon about a strongperson challenge with Balazar at Songdrop and Balazar's Mystic Menagerie
-Korrin is depressed the wolf is dead
-All-Moon asks Korrin if he saw a silver lapel, who states William did. All-Moon asks for it. And is a tad disappointed at the state it is in, asking if anyone can repair it
-William states something about seeing an inky beast that was peaking from outside the window but is foggy on the details
-With magical vision, they notice as it dissolves a blank inky handprint on the window
-All-Moon leads them to the Menagerie in hopes of finding someone to cast mending to repair the lapel
-All-Moon does inform Evander that 'she' (referring to Zaria which Evander does understand) will be going to the Menagerie or to the ruins of Lilstrae today
-Evander decides to split up to go find the library
-Evander sees some portraits, one of which is an Uledin Lilstrae, who was guard captain for around 20ish years
-Uledin has features that very much resemble Zafia
-Novelle looks as though he just woke up, Evander meets with him to give a full debriefing, and warns about leaving corruption unchecked
-Novelle states they remember the hassle of 10 years ago, Evander notes Novelle is sort of glossing over or purposefully being ignorant of certain details
-Evander gives info about The Golden Chains, mentioning they had a corrupted beast downstairs, Novelle is uninformed about there being a downstairs to that establishment
-The captain makes several notes about the Golden Chains, planning fines
-Evander does not mention about Zafia
-He asks for a proper channel to talk to the Goristra Familia, as he was unwelcomed previously. Has to wait about a month for the head to be in town once more
-Falven was here about two days ago, the attack on the menagerie was two nights ago, Vyrhday, Hjaltos 36th
-Evander tries to place a connection but fails at it momentarily
-Novelle sends a few to check on The Golden Chains, with intent to check for permits and possibly bring in 'Ser' Ellen for questioning
-Evander goes to the library, focusing on reading about the Lilstrae family
-The Lilstrae was the most loved of the Houses in Harshharbor
-Goristra Familia was the more aggressive and House Filtranach was neutral
-The Lilstrae suffered what was on record as an attack by bandits. Those in the home and coordinated 'muggings' outside of the home to wipe out all Lilstrae in a single night
-The core family was Uledin Lilstrae and Graceful Luminaria Lilstrae and their children Coldesi Lilstae, Zafia, and Lofen Lilstrae who was a toddler at the time of the attack
-Lofen's body was never found, though the fire that consumed the estate began at the nursery and the nursery was fully consumed
-Coldesi was out in the market with cousins, and they were killed by multiple knife wounds from bandits/thieves
-Uledin was killed by a single knife wound by a beggar asking for help from debt collectors, but was stabbed in the back
-Graceful was in the estate who tried to help others escape, however she was stabbed in the back with a ceremonial sword
-Zafia's body was never recovered and many assumed the worst as she was beginning to blossom.
-The family has a history of being part of the guard
-Evander begins to search about Goristra Familia
-Every patriarch of that family seems to be very aggressive, bullying people into paying for protection, buying an item out of the markets
-There are rumors as the Goristra being the reason why House Filtranach fell to hard times
-The others approach the large tent of the Menagerie
-Songdrop is a blue skinned, bard-ish looking woman
-They mention Andre as the name of their strongman, and need him to move his 'toys'
-After a moment, there is a distant and muffled sound, something like a growl but that is not right
-Andre is revealed to be a hill giant who strolls over with a chest. Andre assumes that William is the strongperson of challenge and sets the chest in front of them pulling out a band and asks them to pull it apart.
-Lye is quick to correct them and point to All-Moon, and Andre is confused calling them "The pretty one?"
-All-Moon is curious, and waits for William first, who manages to pull but with some struggle
-Lye becomes curious and attempts as well but struggles even moreso, and finally All-Moon participates. The difference in strength is made rather clear
-Andre is surprised and excited, bringing a boulder and a tree essentially making a weight and asks All-Moon to lift it one handed.
-All-Moon does so, showing they can with either hand. Andre then asks if All-Moon can fully lift the cart, pointing to a loaded carriage, and All-Moon manages to do so
-Andre becomes very excited and cleans up before Songdrop gets mad, and tries to figure out how to tell Balazar
-All-Moon is a tad disappointed thinking the menagerie was not more a magical shop instead of the circus it is
-They retrace their steps back to a magic shop known as The Goristro's Pile, that has a very torn and beat-up sign. When asked why it is so damaged, the annoyed man says kids have a sense of humor
-They are overcharging for a mending scroll, 75 gp for one
-The guy's name is Nalm Venbors.
-Korrin buys a spell scroll
