Former Ioshar to King Haeros Xilisbane, Malcom swore his oath to the kind during the turmoil that had been going on after Haeros' duel for rights to the throne. While the details of the oath is private between the two of them, it seemed to be one of administrative or bureaucratic management instead of the more traditional and commonly known Ioshar Oaths.

Malcom is quite advanced in age, and already suffering from theBleaching common to all gnomes.
