True Xaintons are esoteric, eccentric, and wild, sitting at the top of the Caste system. Existing in the civilized lands perched in the mountains, those at the top of the caste system are said to perform barbaric blood rituals and use whatever means they can to maintain their power. The truth of the matter is consensual rituals of sacrifice for one’s faction or family to one of the Keepers of the conclave. While viewed as barbaric, the weak used as a sacrifice would be an insult. Tons, the secondary caste, fight from the moment they turn twelve, in whatever manner of the word best suits them. Many wilt away and are tossed aside, but Xaintongeais is infamous for their soldiers, merchants and bureaucrats alike for their unnerving efficiency. Finally, Geais is filled with the lower rungs of society. The exiled, those won through combat, those deemed unfit to even be a Ton after they wilt, even refugees who can not withstand the rigorous entry exam ‘Faignaunt’ who attempt to integrate into the society must perform. Finally, the temporary caste, the Faignaunt, is reserved for outsiders. Any of whom that stay for longer than half a year without a True Xainton’s consent must be integrated into society through the Meritocratic and Esoteric Caste System.
