Maconnisian culture is predominantly known for two things: stoicism and combat. With their monarchy built upon the literal strongest rules, and the general 'isolationism' that their people tend to hold, many do not bother with attempting to delve any deeper.

In reality, the isolation that people tend to attribute to Maconnisian people is viewed as a respect. Maconnisian culture strongly suggests that they should not encroach on another's business unless they are invited to, or it is their job to. A nosey Maconnisian is the worst Maconnisian to them. What forms from this is a clannish society of ironclad communities, with the term 'Families' fitting into society the same way a Brotherhood or Order could. If you are part of a Family, it means that that family supports you and you provide assistance to that family. And thus they follow an increasingly distancing hierachy of closeness, assigning different levels of support and respect to each. The communal heirarchy branches out like such:
One's blood relatives who tend to be relied on and told the most, one's Family/clan/House who tends to know most but the most intimate, one's town or city where the biggest step back occurs and one may know of you, and one's country where it is expected that you support the King who knows nothing of you but provides you with what you need.

The lust for combat is a genuine part of their society, and no amount of flowery words or interpretations could cover the fact that if you throw a punch in a bar, someone else will use that as an excuse to deck their rival for chewing too loudly during the last festival. The unifying strength of the monarch hones and focuses this combativeness towards their wartime enemies.
