The eastern Imperial Glory of the and the epitome of tarnished opulence. The religious center of the Diutian Empire, crumbling from within. Half of the territory they conquered after the collapse has already broken away from them, and none in their capital of Hyranthia -the former religious heart of Diutian Empire along their westernmost coast- seem to believe that this would taken anymore than a proper fight to handle. The nobility blame the military’s corruption, while the military blame their incompetent noble generals, and no one is following where the trails of embezzlement go to. While it is true that the military possesses skilled soldiers, they are dispersed too widely to be noted due to favoritism and nepotism. It is also true that many nobles hold no skill but place themselves in command positions for glory and standing, but the ones who would truly help it all shine are relegated to backwater posting due to their contrarian ideas. And a poorly kept secret is that there are Powers at play behind the throne, though who -or what- those powers are are far from being answered.
The nation of Bastenaken stole away their northern territories, while Ukkermarker has contested their expansion since the olden days. Xaintongeais and Maconnias easily broke free of their eastern most holds almost as soon as the Diutian Empire had fallen itself. Their Archrivals, and their opposite, is the nation of Westfold across the Ulesian Sea from them. The country exists in the south of Derikes.
