Territory reconquered from the Black Demesne, where an exceptional number of corrupted trolls had been living. So many trolls were killed in the reconquest that the trees now produce a rubbery wood, seep an excessive amount of blood red sap, and moan when struck, giving the location it's new name. The area had been full of isolationist folklore before it was overrun by the Black Demesne, and Duke Cromwell Vanitas had been granted back his grandfather's land when it was retaken. The Duke has been specifically giving preferential treatment to people who could be traced back to former residents of the land.
